7 Changing the filter

7.1 Installing the filter media

The fan-and-filter unit and outlet filter are
supplied as standard with a standard filter
mat for the pre-filtering of dry, coarse dust
and lint. In order to increase the protection
category, and in the case of dust with a
grain size of < 10 µm, we recommend the
use of fine filter mats (optionally available).
Depending on the incidence of dust, you
will need to replace the filter mat from time
to time.
Caution!
Only change the filter mat
while the fan wheel is
stationary.
Never insert your fingers into
the fan wheel.
• Use your finger to pull the function logo
in the louvred grille upwards slightly to
unlock it. The grille will now flip open by
about 70° to allow the filter mat to be re-
placed easily.
