• FINE: Scans with high resolution and accuracy. (2.5 sec-
onds, 640 × 480)
• FAST: Scans at a high speed. (0.3 seconds, 320 × 240)

The resolution of color images will always be 640 × 480 re-
gardless of the scan mode.

The VIVID 910 will perform auto-focus, cause the la-
ser beam to scan the object surface, and complete ac-
quisition of range and color images. The scan results
(range and color images) will be displayed on the
viewfinder.

When scanning just after the mode is switched from FINE to
FAST or vice versa, the motor will start rotation to set the
laser beam first and then focus is performed.

• With certain objects, "AF/AE ERROR" will be displayed, indicating that auto-focus cannot be performed. In
this case, press any key to clear the error view, then set focus lock or perform manual focus.
• While scan is in progress, never insert/remove the memory card or press any keys. Doing so may cancel scan
or hinder acquisition of correct data.
