Options &
Requirements
Built it to your specifications.

Duplex Option

You can perform manual duplexing on the magicolor 2450 by printing on
one side of a page, turning it over, and then printing on the other side.
For more convenient two-sided printing, an automatic duplex option is
available. It installs on the back of the printer and adds very little depth
to the printer. To print at 600 dpi (High Quality) using the optional
automatic duplexer, a minimum of 256 MB RAM is required.

Lower Feeder Unit

An optional 500-sheet lower feeder unit increases the magicolor 2450's
paper input capacity to 700 sheets. The lower feeder unit accepts letter-
and A4-size paper and attaches conveniently underneath the printer.
Adding this option not only reduces the frequency of paper refills, but
allows you to keep more than one type of media in the printer.

Memory

While the magicolor 2450 comes with 128 MB DDR SDRAM, the
controller board includes one free DIMM slot, so you can upgrade
printer memory to a total of 640 MB, using 128 MB, 256 MB, and 512
MB DIMM modules. The magicolor 2450 uses industry-standard 100-
pin, unbuffered dual-data-rate (DDR) SDRAM modules that effectively
double data throughput and consume less energy. 266 MHz, PC-2100
modules can be used.

Hard Disk

The magicolor 2450 can be equipped with a 40 GB internal IDE hard
disk to support additional memory, security and convenience functions.
The kit includes the hard disk, daughterboard, and time of day clock.

Extended Warranties

KONICA MINOLTA offers the opportunity to purchase additional
warranty options for the magicolor 2450, including 1- and 2-year
extended exchange warranties, a 1-year extended exchange post
warranty, a 2-year on-site warranty upgrade, and a 1-year on-site post
warranty upgrade.
