Install the new battery in the socket, orienting the "+" and "-"

Turn off and disconnect all peripheral devices connected to the
computer. Then turn off the computer and remove the power
cord.
Remove the computer cover.
Locate the configuration jumper block using the illustration on
page 2 of this chapter.
Place the jumper on pins 2-3 as shown below.
Replace the cover, turn on the computer, and allow it to boot.
The computer starts the Setup program. Setup displays the
Maintenance menu.
Use the arrow keys to select Clear Passwords. Press <Enter>
and Setup displays a pop-up screen requesting that you
confirm clearing the password. Select Yes and press <Enter>.
Setup displays the Maintenance menu again.
Press <F10> to save the current values and exit Setup.
