Configuring Photographing Details
[CAM MENU] includes setting screens of [CAMERA], [IMAGE], [NR/SD/SET], and [SHOT/REC] allowing you to configure
various settings for viewing and capturing images.
This section explains setting items of each screen in detail.
Common operation items of CAM MENU
The upper half and bottom of the [CAM MENU] contains operation sections and indicators common among different
screens. For how to operate these items, refer to "8.2 Basic Operations of Photographing".

Setting Items of the [CAM MENU: CAMERA] Screen
The lower section of the [CAM MENU: CAMERA] long screen includes the following buttons for configuring basic
photographing conditions.
[IMG MODE] button
Sets the operation mode of the image pickup
device. The photographing mode that can be
used varies depending on the connected DS
[MTR MODE] button
Allows you to select a photometry mode from
[Average photometry] and [Peak photometry].
Setting items of the [CAM MENU: CAMERA] screen
Button
Allows you to set the operation mode of the image pickup device for capturing
IMG MODE
images.
Allows you to select from four options: program AE, shutter-priority, focus-priority,
EXP MODE
and manual.
Allows you to select the mode (photometry mode) for measuring the brightness of
MTR MODE
the subject from "average photometry" and "peak hold photometry".
Allows you to select an area size (measurement area) for measuring the brightness
MTR AREA
of the subject. You can also set an arbitrary size and position of the photometry
area.
AE LOCK
Fixes the exposure in the automatic exposure mode.
FUNC1 to FUNC3
You can assign any functions.
