THIRD ROW SEATS

Folding the Seatback
Caution
Folding a rear seat with the safety
belts still fastened may cause
damage to the seat or the safety belts.
Always unbuckle the safety belts and
return them to their normal stowed
position before folding a rear seat.
To fold a seatback:
1. Unbuckle the safety belts in the
third row seats.
2. Lift the handle on the back of the
third row seatback. The headrest
will release and fold forward
automatically.
3. Grasping the handle, fold the
seatback forward and release it.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the other
seatback, if desired.

Returning the Seatback to the
Upright Position
Warning
If either seatback is not locked, it
could move forward in a sudden stop
or crash. That could cause injury to
the person sitting there. Always push
and pull on the seatbacks to be sure
they are locked.
Warning
With head restraints that are not
installed and adjusted properly, there
is a greater chance that occupants
will suffer a neck/spinal injury in a
crash. Do not drive until the head
restraints for all occupants are
installed and adjusted properly.
