HEAD RESTRAINTS

HEAD RESTRAINTS
POSITION
Front Seats
The vehicle's front seats have adjust-
able headrests in the outboard seating
positions.
Warning
Only drive with the head restraint set
to the proper position.
Removed or improperly adjusted
head restraints can result in serious
head and neck injuries in case of a
collision.
Make sure that the head restraint
readjusted before driving.
Adjust the headrest so that the top of the
headrest is at the same height as the top
of the occupant's head. This position
reduces the chance of a neck injury in a
crash.
Height Adjustment
The height of the headrest can be
adjusted. Pull the headrest up, to raise it.
Try to move the headrest to make sure
that it is locked in place.
To lower the headrest, press the button,
located on the top of the seatback, and
push the headrest down. Try to move
the headrest after the button is released
to make sure that it is locked in place.
