The engine oil dipstick handle is having
a yellow color loop. See Engine Comp-
artment Overview on page 9-5 for the
location of the engine oil dipstick.
1. Park vehicle on level ground.
2. Turn off the engine and give the oil
10 minutes to drain back into the oil
pan. If this is not done, the oil
dipstick might not show the actual
level.
3. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it
clean.
4. Re-insert dipstick completely.
5. Pull the dipstick out again.
6. Check the oil on the dipstick to
make sure it is not contaminated.
7. Check oil level, as shown on the
dipstick. Oil should be between
MIN and MAX.
If oil level is not clear, read the
opposite side of gauge instead. Diff-
erent dipsticks are used depending
on engine variant.
8. If the oil level is below MIN, add
enough oil of the same grade as is
currently in the engine to raise the
oil level to MAX. Do not fill over
MAX mark.
