If you have the pager-sized handheld and you choose to operate it
with a rechargable NiMH battery, you will use the cradle to
recharge the NiMH battery. If you have the palm-sized handheld,
there is no external battery required; your handheld is powered by
an internal, rechargable battery that is also recharged using the
cradle.
Note
When connecting to your PC, use only the cradle provided
by Research In Motion.
To recharge the NiMH battery
Plug the supplied AC adapter into a power source.
1. Place the handheld in the charging cradle so that
the handheld's serial port is securely connected to
the charging cradle. To do so, line up the connector
port on the bottom edge of the handheld with the
connector prongs of the cradle and press the
handheld firmly in place.
