Click (press down on) the trackwheel to turn on
the handheld. The Home screen appears.

If you choose to use an AA alkaline battery and your
handheld does not turn on after you've inserted the battery,
then either the AA alkaline is too low or the internal lithium
is discharged. Leave the handheld turned off for 6 to 8
hours to let the AA alkaline battery recharge the internal
lithium battery. If this does not solve the problem, try
inserting a new battery.
