Anchors for Child
Restraints with Lower
Attaching Points and Top
Strap
This system is designed to make
installation of child restraints
easier.
Use this system instead of the
vehicle's safety belts to secure a
child restraint.
A
A B
With this feature you will have
anchors
for the second row
outboard bucket seats or the right
and center passenger positions of
the split bench seat.
The anchors are located where the
seatback meets the seat cushion.
There are no lower anchors for the
third row seat.
Section 2
To use the system, you need either
a forward-facing child restraint
that has attaching points
at its
base (and possibly a top strap), or
a rear-facing child restraint that
has attaching points
at its base.
CAUTION
If a child restraint is not
attached to its anchorage
points, the restraint will not be
able to protect a child sitting
there. In a crash, the child could
be seriously injured or killed.
Make sure that the child
restraint is properly installed
using the anchorage points, or
use the vehicle's safety belts to
secure the restraint. Follow the
instructions that come with the
restraint.
