Load the paper into the tray.
– Load paper so that the side to be printed on faces downward.
– Up to 100 sheets plain paper can be loaded.
– Slide the lateral guides to fit the size of paper to be loaded.

From the touch panel, select the paper type.
– Press [↑] or [↓] until the desired paper type appears.
– To specify the paper size, specify the "Paper Size" setting.
– For details on specifying the paper size and paper type settings, refer to chapter 6, "Copy
paper/originals", of the User's Guide [Copy Operations].

Paper of the following types and amounts can be loaded into the bypass tray.
Plain paper (16 lb to 21-1/4 lb): Up to 100 sheets
Special Paper: 1 sheet
Paper of the following sizes can be specified for the bypass tray.
Standard sizes: 11×17 w, 8-1/2 × 14 w, 8-1/2 × 11 w/v, 5-1/2 × 8-1/2 w/v, A3 w, B4 w, A4 v,
B5 w/v, wide paper (11×17W w, 8-1/2×11W w/v, 5-1/2×8-1/2W w/v, A3W w, B4W w, A4W v,
B5W w/v)
Non-standard-sized paper: Width: 3-15/16 inches to 12-3/8 inches; Length: 5-1/12 inches to 18-1/16
