    Ink Color Print Save This manual describes how to install the Walk-and-Talk Presentation Series interactive whiteboard (models 1400, 1600 and 1800). For information about using the whiteboard, refer to the Walk-and-Talk Presentation Series User Manual. An electronic (PDF) version of this user guide is installed with the software (or available for download at www.polyvision.com).

    Mounting the board to a sheetrock, brick, cinderblock, plaster, or • metal wall. Instructions and some fasteners are provided to help you install the Walk-and-Talk whiteboard when walls have metal or wood studs. Be sure to locate studs and drive mounting screws into them whenever possible.

    Preparing to Mount the Wall Brackets These instructions guide you through installing Walk-and-Talk on a sheetrock wall. If your wall material is some other substance, such as concrete or brick, use these instructions as a guideline but install appropriate anchors to secure the unit to the wall.

    To do so, use an Allen wrench (provided) to loosen the set screws that secure the mounting pocket on the back of the whiteboard. Slide the pocket horizontally in its track.   • Page 16 Follow the prompts you see on the screen to complete the installation. To install Walk-and-Talk software on a computer using Windows 98: Turn on your computer and wait for Windows to start. For best results, make sure no applications are running.

    ATTERIES TO THE RASER The Walk-and-Talk eraser uses two AAA batteries (provided). To add batteries: Gently peel back the soft eraser handle to expose the battery compartment. Insert the batteries as marked. Make sure that you place the batteries in with the positive terminals on the positive (+) side.
