With the Walk-and-Talk driver installed on your computer and your computer connected to a projector, you have the ability to operate your computer using the stylus, or you can roam freely about the room and operate your computer using the remote control touch pad and buttons.

    SING THE EMOTE ONTROL The Walk-and-Talk remote control operates at a distance of up to 40 feet from the infrared receiver, enabling you to roam freely away from your computer while you give your presentation. While using your computer with a projector, the remote control enables you to move the computer cursor, click and double-click, and launch an on- screen keyboard to enter text into dialog boxes.

    USB cable. ONFIGURING PTIONS The Walk-and-Talk driver is ready to use as soon as it is installed. However, you can change the default options at any time. To configure Walk-and-Talk options: Click the Walk-and-Talk icon in the system tray (Windows) or system menu (Macintosh).
  • Page 18 The Walk-and-Talk menu appears. Walk-and-Talk Choose “Configure Walk-and-Talk.” The Configure Options dialog box appears. Macintosh Windows Options are organized in tabs. Each tab includes these buttons: “Help”: Click “Help” (Windows only) or “?” (Macintosh) to view information about the options on a tab.

    The snapshot file name is “PolyVision nnnnnn.pdf,” where “nnnnnn” is a sequentially increasing number from the time the software is first installed. The name of the first image you capture is PolyVision 000001. At the one-millionth snapshot, the number returns to 000000 and begins to sequence upwards again.

    • “Startup Pen Style”: To specify the pen style that is used when you start up Walk-and-Talk software on your computer, check “Remember Last Used.” Otherwise, click “Choose Startup Style.” The factory default pen style is a medium black line.

    The Projection tab appears in the Configure Options dialog when a Walk- and-Talk Interactive Whiteboard without Lightning Technology is connected to your computer. If a Walk-and-Talk product with Lightning Technology is connected, the Projection tab is absent. To configure options that apply...

You see these options: • “Alignment Points”: Choose between three levels of projection alignment: 4-point, 8-point, and 16-point. The more points you choose, the more accurately the cursor will be controlled from the whiteboard in projection mode.

    NSTEAD Advanced users can download a copy of the Webster software from the PolyVision web site. If you would prefer to use the advanced features of Webster instead of the ease and simplicity of Walk-and-Talk software, you can disable Walk-and-Talk software and start Webster.

    NINSTALL THE RIVER ON A ACINTOSH You have two ways to uninstall the Walk-and-Talk driver on a Macintosh, based on whether you have access to the PolyKey. If you have access to the USB cable with the PolyKey: Insert the PolyKey located at one end of the USB cable in the USB port of your computer.

    SING ULTIPLE RODUCTS If your room includes multiple Walk-and-Talk devices, you can operate up to three of them with the same computer and remote control. Multiple devices can be associated with the same computer, but multiple computers cannot be associated with one board.

    Getting Started with Your Projector Cable connections between your computer, the board, and the projector enable you to control your computer from the Walk-and-Talk whiteboard. Getting started is simply a matter of connecting your projector to your computer and then pressing the Projection button on the remote control.

    To set up the projector: Plug the Walk-and-Talk USB cable into your computer. Locate your projector’s video cable and connect it to the video port of your computer. Connect the other end of the video cable to your projector. Connect the projector’s power cord to an outlet.
