Microphone Recommendations

Marantz recommends using a condenser microphone. The unit will provide phantom
power for condenser mics, but it's a good idea to use a mic with its own external
power.
Before recording, make sure that you are using the correct microphone.
✳ If you want to use the internal microphone, press the MENU/STORE button and
use the track/jump buttons to switch to preset 1.
✳ Preset 2 will be used for the external mics.
✳ In which case, when an external mic is plugged in, be sure to have the phantom
power switch turned on.
✳ On the LED screen, Mic 1 will show for the internal microphone, and mic 2 will
show for the external mic.
