Step 5. Wing walks can be made from black 400 grit wet or dry
sandpaper (not included).
Roll-Cage Installation
Step 6. Install the roll-over cage between the front and rear
cockpit openings. Trial fit it into position until you're satisfied
with the location; then mark where the four posts touch the fuse-
lage top. Carefully remove the covering in these areas.
Step 7. Mix up a small amount (approximately 1/4 ounce) of
6-minute epoxy and apply it to the ends of the roll-over cage
posts. Apply it to the fuselage at the location previously marked.
Allow the epoxy to cure completely. Excess epoxy can be
cleaned off using rubbing alcohol and a paper towel.

Instrument Panels
Step 9. Instrument panels can be installed in the cockpits.
Ready-made instrument panels are available for the PT-19 from
Hangar 9. HAN 180 includes both front and rear panels or
HAN181 (front instrument panel) and HAN182 (rear instrument
panel) are available for installation as shown below.
Pilots
Step 10. Pilot busts can be added to the cockpits to provide a
more realistic appearance. Pilots are available from Hangar 9,
Virtual Reality, etc.—check for them at your local hobby shop.
We used the Hangar 9 1/4 scale WWI Pilot Bust (HAN8278).
Other Details
A careful study of the two-view drawing on the following page
shows other features that the modeler can add to the aircraft. Lift
handles, pitot tube, etc., are all identified in the drawing.
Fabrication of the wing and tail fairings should only be attempt-
ed by the more experienced modeler as the process is complex.
