Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. 4. Do not use this unit in or near water. 5. Do not place this unit on an unstable cart, stand, or table. The unit may fall, causing serious damage. 6. Slots and openings on the cabinet top, back, and bottom are provided for ventilation. If an extension cord must be used with this unit, make sure that the total of the ampere ratings on the products plugged into the extension cord do not exceed the extension cord’s rating. 10. Make sure that the total amperes of all the units that are plugged into a single wall outlet do not exceed 15 amperes. 11. Never push objects of any kind into this unit through the cabinet ventilation slots, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts that could result in risk of fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind onto or into this unit. 12. Except as specifically explained elsewhere in this manual, do not attempt to service this product yourself. Warranty Datavideo warrants that the equipment it manufactures shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of product purchased. If equipment fails due to such defects, Datavideo will, at its option, repair or provide a replacement for the defective part or product. Equipment that fails after the warranty period, has been operated or installed in a manner other than that specified by Datavideo, or has been subjected to abuse or modification, will be repaired for time and material charges at the Buyer’s expense. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights within the Country of purchase. Disposal For EU Customers only WEEE Marking. This symbol on the product indicates that it will not be treated as household waste. It must be handed over to the applicable takeback scheme for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. It allows the SE500 to be controlled from a PC via an Ethernet connection. Connections Front Panel Ethernet Port Connect this to the Ethernet connection of your PC or to a hub. The green LED indicates connection and the yellow LED indicates activity. N.B. If you are connecting directly to a PC (not via a hub) please use a CAT 5 Crossover Cable (not supplied). RS232 Port Connect this to your SE500 vision mixer RS232 Control Port, with the supplied cable. Power In Socket Connect the supplied power supply to this socket. Please note the socket is labelled 12v 300mA whereas the power supply is 12V 500mA, this is intentional.
Operation Go into the setup menu of your SE500 and set the remote mode to RS232C control. Please refer to your SE500 Instruction Manual for further details. Copy the files on the supplied CD to your PC. The default IP Address for the RMC150 is 192.168.0.100, and the remote port 1024. In order to communicate with the RMC150 your PC must be set to an appropriate IP Address. Go into Network Connections on your PC and set the IP Address to a suitable value. As an example: IP Address 192 .168 .0 .90 Subnet Mask 255 .255 .255 .0 Default Gateway 192 .168 .0 .0 Open the folder RMC_150_UI and double click on SE500.exe to launch the User Interface (UI) Once the UI is displayed right click anywhere on the UI, and from the drop down menu select options...

The Options Menu will appear To connect to the SE500 click on OK. If the connection is established the virtual buttons on the UI will light up the same as the actual SE500. You can now control the SE500 by clicking on the virtual buttons. To close the application, right click anywhere on the UI and select EXIT from the drop down menu.

If the RMC150 fails to make contact with the SE500 you will see this warning. You will also notice that the virtual buttons do not light up. The most likely causes of this are: You are not using the correct type of CAT 5 cable Crossover for connection directly between the RMC150 and a PC / Straight through for connection via a hub. Your PC is not set to an appropriate IP Address. Go into network settings and set the IP address correctly.
