Forum 516/518 has a total of six S ports, all switchable between internal/external. The firmware of the Forum 500 is designed for configuring up to 150 users (300 users on the Forum 516). You can connect the following devices to the Forum 500:...
  • Page 11 The Forum 500 allows you to use CTI (computer telephony inte- gration) applications made by other manufacturers. This requires installation of a TAPI driver on a Windows PC. The Forum 500 also has an integrated dialling wizard, the Forum 500 CTI, with which users can call up and use telephone functions on PCs without first having to install a special TAPI driver.

In a single LAN it is possible to use various protocols for the trans- mission of data. The connection between a workstation computer and the Forum 500 runs via the TCP/IP protocol used on the Inter- net. TCP/IP can be used together with other protocols (e.g. Net- BEUI, AppleTalk or IPX/SPX) on the same network.
