ADDENDUM TO INSTALLATION/SERVICE MANUAL
IMI CORNELIUS INSTALLATION/SERVICE MANUAL (P/N 569000203)
VANGUARD 245 POST-MIX OVERCOUNTER DISPENSER
The purpose of this Addendum is to document additional information about the Vanguard 245 Post-Mix Overcounter
Dispenser (P/N 497306660WS) not documented in manual (P/N 569000203) provided with this Dispenser. This Dis-
penser is equipped with a plain water dispensing spout located between No. 5 and No. 6 dispensing valves that when
activated, will dispense chilled plain water.
NOTE: A CO "OUT" Light Kit (P/N 1983) and a Dispenser Leg Kit (P/N 560000126) are available for all of

the Vanguard 245 Dispensers.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLING DISPENSER ON COUNTERTOP

Select location and install Dispenser on countertop as instructed in manual provided with the Dispenser.
CONNECTING PLAIN WATER LINE TO DISPENSER PLAIN WATER DISPENSING
SYSTEM
(see Figure 1)
Plain water connected to the Dispenser plain water solenoid valve, located on top of the refrigeration deck, pro-
vides chilled plain water to be dispensed from the plain water dispensing spout. Proceed as follows to connect
plain water to the plain water solenoid valve.
1. Remove Dispenser hood for access to the plain water solenoid valve on top of the refrigeration deck (see
Figure 1).
2. Route plain water line from filtered plain water source up to the Dispenser.
3. Route plain water line up under Dispenser, up behind Dispenser front access panel, and on to plain water
solenoid valve on top of the refrigeration deck.
4. Connect plain water line to inlet of the plain water solenoid valve.

COMPLETING INSTALLATION OF THE DISPENSER

IMPORTANT: Before installing Dispenser front access panel, make sure the two-wire electrical wiring
harness with spade clip terminals on it's end (intended for connection to the push-button plain water
dispense switch on the drip tray support) is hanging down out bottom of the Dispenser. This wiring
harness must be connected to the plain water dispense switch before installing the drip tray in the drip
tray support.
Complete installation of Dispenser as instructed in manual provided with your Dispenser.
