Managing Receiver Options

The Option Authorization File enables certain functions, features, and
options in the receiver, such as the following:
• the type of signal (L1, L1/L2, and so on) the receiver processes
• the amount of data the receiver stores in the memory
• the rate at which data is transmitted or received
For a complete list of available options and details, consult with your
TPS dealer.

Checking the Receiver's OAF

Use PC-CDU to view the status of the receiver's options.
1. Connect your receiver and computer. See "Connecting the
Receiver and a Computer" on page 2-20 for this procedure.
2. Click Tools Receiver Options. The Options Manager dialog
box (Figure 5-15 on page 5-11) contains the following
information:
• Option name – a name/description of the option
• Current – the current status of the option
• Purchased – if the option is purchased or not
• Leased – if the option is leased or not
• Expiration date – the date the option will be disabled, if
applicable
Since Options can be both purchased and leased, the "Current"
status of the option displays the currently effective value. Option
values can be one of the following:
• -1 or "-----" – the firmware version does not support this
option
• 0 – the receiver option is disabled
• positive integer – the option is enabled
• yes or no – the option is either enabled or disabled
