INSTALLING USER INTERFACE CONTROLS

PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
Determine the best mounting location for the Contact,
based on framing, electrical wiring, fixtures and any
mechanical limitations present in the stud space. Make
sure the area behind the touch screen or keypad is at
least 2 inches deep and clear of any obstructions.
The Contact touch screen is designed to provide the
best screen resolution when installed at a mounting
height of 60" on-center (See Figure 10).

USING A NEW CONSTRUCTION BRACKET
Contact Touch Screen and Display Keypad:
1. Connect a properly configured CAT-5 cable to the
T568A system terminal on the back of the interface.
2. Install interface to construction bracket (IntelliControl
ICS Part #FG01192; not included) as shown.
3. Finish with appropriate color trim plate.
Single Keypad:
1. Connect a properly configured CAT-5 cable to the
system terminal on the back of the keypad.
2. Install keypad to low voltage electrical box as shown
using included hardware.
3. Finish with appropriate color faceplate.
WARNING: Do not mount the keypad, or IR sensor if
used, in the same electrical box as 110V AC devices.
This is a violation of electrical code in some areas.
