INSULATED CHASE CONSTRUCTION

 Facing

1. Materials directly in contact with the faceplate of the fireplace, especially the vertical and

horizontal surround, must be non-combustible and have the minimal dimensions as shown

on figure 16.

2. Non-combustible materials such as brick, stone or ceramic tile may project in front of and

onto the fireplace decorative frame.
