Verify the vehicle is in A4WD mode. Position the rear wheels on a loose or slippery surface. Accelerate briefly to get the rear wheels to break traction. Does the A4WD lamp begin to flash and the PID 4WDCLST indicate OFF? GO to A25.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? GO to B20.
