NOTE:
Before installing the rear wheel, apply a light
coating of lithium base grease to the final
gear case splines.
When installing the rear wheel, be sure the
splines on the wheel hub fit into the final
gear case.
Make sure there is enough gap between the
brake pads before inserting the brake disc.

Tightening torque:

Axle nut: 15.0 m-kg (108.5 ft-lb)
Axle pinch bolt: 0.6 m-kg (4.0 ft-lb)
Shock absorber:
Top mount: 3.0 m-kg (21.5 ft-lb)
Bottom mount: 3.9 m-kg (28.0 ft-lb)
- C A U T I O N :
Always use a new cotter pin on the rear
axle nut.
-Carburetor
adjustment:
The carburetor is a vital part of the en-
gine and its emission control system.
Adjusting should be left to your Yamaha
dealer or other qualified mechanic with
the professional knowledge, specialized
data and equipment to do so properly.
