I nsta l l the ca mshaft holder dowel pins in the rea r cyl i nder
head.
Lubricate the camshaft journal su rfaces, ca mshaft holder
and cam lobes with molybden u m d isu lfide oil.
I n sta l l the camshafts onto the rea r cyl i nder head.
Check that the " R-EX" ti m i n g m a rk o n the rea r exh a u st
camshaft sprocket is level with the cyl i n d e r head u pper
edge as shown.
C h ec k that the " R- I N " t i m i n g m a rk on the rea r i ntake
camshaft sprocket is level with the cyl i nder head u pper
edge as shown .
I nsta l l the camshaft holders i n the correct positions, check­
i n g the identification m a rks on the ho ld e rs a n d cyl i nder
head.
I nsta l l the cam chain g u ide.
Torq ue the cam shaft holder bolts i n the seq uence shown.
Torque: 1 2 N·m ( 1 .2 kg-m, 9 ft-lb)
Turn the cam ch a i n tensioner shaft com pletely in (clock­
wise) and secu re it using the special too l .
Tensioner stopper
Cam cha i n tensioner stopper tool can easily be made from
a th i n (1 mm th ickness) piece of steel .
