  • Page 5: Using Your Iron For The First Time

    FILL THE IRON WITH WATER:  Disconnect the iron from the mains supply outlet.  Move the Steam Control Knob to position.  Open the water inlet cover as in Fig2.  Hold the Iron with the heel uppermost and pour water up to the maximum level as in Fig3.

    STEAM IRONING  Fill the iron as described in the section of How to Fill Water.  Set the Steam control knob to  Connect the iron to a suitable mains supply outlet, the pilot light will glow for a second then switch off.

     The iron is now ready for use.  Press the Burst of Steam Button.  Steam will penetrate into the garment removing the wrinkles.  Wait for a few seconds before pressing the Burst of Steam Button again when there are stubborn wrinkles.

    ANTI-DRIP  Anti-drip system, which is designed to prevent water escaping from the soleplate when the iron is too cold automatically.  During use, the anti-drip system may emit a loud clicking sound, particularly during heat-up or whilst cooling down. This is perfectly normal and indicates that the system is functioning correctly.

     Always remember to unplug the unit from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Ensure that the speed control is set to “0”.  The body of the appliance and the stand should be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not let water enter the appliance or the stand.
