The Fortress 1700 DT/TA scooter is designed for:
transport of persons with a weight of up to 275 lbs (1700 TA) or 350 lbs
•
(1700 DT)
use on sidewalks, footways, and bike-ways
•
use in and around the house
•
Your dealer should give you clear instructions before you independently
operate the product.
Consider operating the Fortress 1700 DT/TA scooter under the supervision of
an experienced dealer during first test drives.
The Fortress 1700 DT/TA scooter is not classified as a road vehicle and as
such is not permitted for road use (road crossings are the only exception).
The Fortress 1700 DT/TA has a maximum speed of 6 mph (TA model), and
5.7 mph (DT model).
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE WELL ACQUAINTED WITH THE
CONTENTS OF THIS OWNER'S MANUAL BEFORE DRIVING THE
FORTRESS 1700 DT/TA.
If you use the scooter in an unsafe manner, or for other purposes than
those for which it is intended, Handicare accepts no liability whatsoever
for any personal injury or property damage resulting from such improper
use.

Use according to purpose' as established in EN 292-1 is the use for which the technical product is suitable
according to the statement of the manufacturer, including his instructions in the sales brochure. In case of doubt
this is the use that follows from the construction, execution and function of the product. Use according to
purpose also includes taking into consideration the instructions in the user manual.
