The centre display will show you the
seat belt use on the rear seat (see
page 115 ).

REAR SEAT BELT USE INDICATORS
On vehicles with information display
When you turn the ignition switch to
the ON (II) position, the centre of
the information display shows the
rear seat belt use.
The above illustration shows all
three rear seat belts used.
Instrument Panel Indicators
The seat belt system detects any
seat belt use of all three rear seat
seating positions according to the
activation of each seat belt retractor.
The highlighted indicators show you
how many rear seat belts are being
used and remind you and your
passengers to fasten their seat belts.
The seat belt indicator system
judges the use of the seat belt
based on the amount of seat
belt pulled out from the
retractor. It is not an indicator
to show that the seat belt is
actually latched. Correct
latching of the seat belts
should be confirmed whenever
the indicator shows a seat belt
is in use.
If any indicator does not come on,
there may be a problem with the
system. If this happens, have your
vehicle checked by your dealer.
