Low Battery Indicator

The handset has visual and audible indicators to warn of a low battery
condition. The indicators are different for standby mode and talk mode.

Standby Mode

The handset display turns on the battery
low icon. All LEDs are turned off and LCD
messages are cleared. A battery low alert
tone will be emitted every 15 seconds and
lasts for three minutes.

Talk Mode

The handset display turns on the battery
low icon. All keys and functions are
available. The battery low alert tone will be
emitted every three seconds as long as
conversation continues. After conversation
is completed, the handset returns to the battery low condition in standby
mode.
When you receive the low battery indication, return the handset to the base
unit for charging or replace the handset battery pack with another charged
battery pack. Refer to

The following table indicates what occurs and the action to be taken during a
call or in standby mode when low battery indication is displayed.
