Spectralink 87-Series Installation and Configuration Tool Administration Guide The SLIC tool provides step-by-step instructions for configuring wireless settings required for the handsets to associate with the wireless LAN.

    Internet connection Web: How is the Internet connection used by the handsets? Spectralink 87-Series handsets do not yet support a LAN provided NTP server, but instead rely on Internet access for the time. If there is no Internet connection, the handsets will not display the correct time.

    If you do not install a CMS server, you will need to manually configure many settings using the Admin menu on the handset. CMS settings parallel the settings found on the Admin menu in the handset and these are explained in Spectralink 87-Series Wireless Telephone Administration Guide.

Use the wall-wart and plug the handset into a wall socket to charge it most efficiently. Do not charge it by connecting it to a computer as many USB ports do not supply enough current to efficiently and quickly charge a battery.
