    About This Guide This document is used by administrators to configure and manage the Spectralink 87-Series handsets, also known as PIVOT™ by Spectralink. The following diagram shows the deployment process and the position of CMS in relation to the rest of the deployment.

    87-Series handsets to associate with the wireless LAN. Once the wizard is completed, a USB connection between the SLIC server and an 87-Series handset loads the wireless parameters into the handset. This document provides complete information about this process.

Press the power button and volume down buttons simultaneously to capture the current screen. You will see the screen being captured. It will appear in the notification drawer where you can share it.

    Chapter 3: Configure .csv Settings The .csv template available online in the Spectralink 87-Series support site can be used by the CMS to bulk provision SIP service requirements for your handsets. Configure this file and upload it to the CMS.

    Chapter 5: Device Management The Device Management group of pages is where the handsets are listed, administered, configured, grouped and so forth. Admin Tip: CMS downloads settings to the handset and the handset uploads settings to CMS There is a regular flow of information between the handset and CMS. Every time the handset checks in with its “heartbeat”, the CMS downloads any new or changed configuration to it.

When they first associate with the wireless LAN and find the CMS, the model number and MAC address are displayed. If you are updating more than a few handsets at once, limit the number that you do at one time.
