2.3 Construction features

The NUOS water heater essentially comprises an upper section containing the heat pump assembly and a lower part
with the storage tank (Fig. 3).
The storage tank, which comes in different capacities depending on the model, is internally covered and protected by
an enamel treatment and is externally insulated by a thick high-efficiency polyurethane layer, which in turn is covered
by the appliance's pre-coated galvanised sheet steel casing. The heat pump condenser housed inside the tank has a
coil shape and is fitted vertically and coaxially with the assembly comprising the heating element and the double
magnesium anode.
The rear part of the lower section houses the hydraulic and condensate drainage connections, and the power supply
cable complete with plug passes through it. The front part contains the control panel fitted with a display which is easily
visible to the user.
All remaining components of the heat pump circuit are housed above the storage tank according to an accurately
designed order ensuring optimal operation, reduced vibrations and noise emission.
An appropriate plastic containment casing, which is readily accessible and suitably insulated, houses the following
elements: the compressor, thermostatic expansion valve, evaporator, fan designed to ensure correct air flow, and the
remaining components that can be identified on Fig. 3.
The air supply connections are located on the rear end of the heat pump. The R134a refrigerating fluid is located inside
the circuit, in a suitable quantity to ensure optimal operation.
