nOte: The approved Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH) always supersedes
the information in this Pilot's Guide.
nOte: Refer to the approved Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH) for emergency
procedures.
nOte: This section covers the operation of the G300 when configured with
an optional external autopilot unit. Refer to the external autopilot vendor
documentation for additional information.
The G300 can communicate with an optional external autopilot unit. The
G300 issues pitch and roll steering commands to the external autopilot unit. The
external autopilot unit is then responsible for moving the flight controls.
This section contains the following terminology:
• External Autopilot Unit: Refers to the third-party autopilot box.
• Integrated Autopilot: Refers to the functionality available when the External
Autopilot Unit and the G300 are working together.
nOte: In a multiple display configuration, the external autopilot unit
is connected to a single GDU (most likely the PFD). In the event that the
GDU connected to the external autopilot unit fails, the integrated autopilot
capability will be lost.
