Test Pattern Generator
D-2 Phaser 480 Field Service
To use the Test Pattern Generator, follow this procedure:
1. Select a test pattern using the Test Pattern Generator's five DIP
switches. Table D-1 lists the available test patterns for the Phaser 480.
2.
Plug the Test Pattern Generator into the printer's parallel port. You do
not have to turn the printer off; you can plug-in the Test Pattern
Generator while the printer is turned on.
3. Press the Test Pattern Generator's START button. Its green LED
flashes as you press the button.
