Engine control board

1.
Turn off the printer.
2.
Remove the lower rear cover as detailed in the previous procedure
"Lower rear cover" on page 8-3.
3.
Remove the two screws (M3 x 7, panhead) which secure the engine
control board cover in place.
4.
Disconnect the six wiring harnesses connected to the engine control
board.
5.
Remove the two screws securing the engine control board in place.
Note the ground wire connected to one of the screws. Remove the
board

Reverse these steps to reinstall the engine control board. When replacing the
print engine control board, be sure to transfer the printhead ROM M16 from the
old board to the new board. The ROM contains important printhead calibration
information unique to the printhead installed in the printer.
