4.1 Overview

This section describes disassembly and assembly procedures for the major
components of PhotoPC 850Z. Since assembly of this camera is relatively
complicated, procedures for disassembly and assembly are explained
individually.

4.1.1 Precautions

See the precautions below before disassembling and assembling the camera.

Disconnect the AC adaptor or remove batteries before
disassembling the camera.

Discharge electricity in the electrolytic capacitor by using
the cement resistance if you need to touch the PW1 Board
for repair service. The electrolytic capacitor (C5412)
mounted on the PW1 Board is for light emission, and is
designed to be charged automatically every time the
camera is turned on, and therefore there is a danger of
getting electric shock (see 4.2.1.1 "Discharging Electricity
from Capacitor").

There are two repair levels for this product: first and
second maintenance.

Performance of the second maintenance is allowed only
by the service center which is equipped with special
instrument for adjustment. We do not guarantee repair
results by the others.

Refer to Table 4-1 for distinction between the first and
second maintenance.

Use the exclusive package material when transporting the
camera.
