5.2.1 Initialization Operation

This section explains the initialization operation, which must be done before
starting the adjustment procedure. Unlike the previous models, even after the
initialization is performed, various adjustment values are not cleared in
PhotoPC 850Z. Only the image storage area is cleared.
Make sure to perform initialization. An error may occur if
uploading such as firmware is performed with the image
area full of shooting data.
1. Complete the setting-up for adjustment (see 5.1.2 "Getting Ready for
Adjustment").
2. Press "Initialize" button on the program (indication for confirmation
appears).

4. Mark
which indicates resolution of the camera moves about for 20
seconds (time varies depending on the image data size saved at that time).

Although the mark
on the camera body moves slower than the program
indicates the end of initialization, you can remove the AC adapter or the
serial communication cable once the program indicates the end of
initialization.
5. Press OK button on the screen.
