3-4. SIGNAL LEVEL ADJUSTMENTS

3-4-1. RGB Level Checks

1. Set BA MATRIX of Device adjust at the menu, and set
19 ADJ MODE from 0 to 1.
2. Input the XGA BA adjustment signal to the INPUT-A input.
3. Connect the oscilloscope to TP5505 of the C board.
4. Check that 9IRE and 90IRE are not flat.
5. Set the cursor of the oscilloscope to 9IRE and 90IRE.
Adjust GND to the bottom edge in the DC1V range.

3-4-2. Component Level Adjustments

1. Connect the Component signal to INPUT-A, and select
COMPONENT at SIGNAL SELECT.
(15K component 10 step signal Chroma OFF)
2. Set BA MATRIX of Device adjust at the menu.
Select 05 SUB BRT, and adjust using the ← and → keys

so that the voltage of 10IRE of the oscilloscope matches
the cursor at the bottom.
4. Select 01 PICTURE, and adjust using the ← and → keys
so that the voltage of 100IRE of the oscilloscope matches
the cursor at the top.
5. Set the signal to the component color bar.
(15K component color bar Chroma ON)
6. Adjust the cursor at the top of the oscilloscope to the bar
on the left side bar (white part).
7. Select 12 YUV COL, and adjust using the ← and →
keys so that the levels of the right bar and left bar be-
come the same.
8. Select 04 SUB HUE, and adjust using the ← and → keys
so that the two bars at the center become flat.
9. Set the signal to the 10 step signal, and return the cursor
at the top to 100IRE.
10. Move the cursor to the SAVE TO MEMORY line of de-
vice adjust, and press the ENTER key."

3-4-3. VIDEO NTSC Level Adjustments

1. Input the NTSC 100% Color bar signal to the VIDEO
input, and switch the input to VIDEO.
BA MATRIX of device adjust of the menu is set.
2. Select 11 YUV COM, and adjust using the ← and →
keys so that the level of the left bar becomes the same as
the level of the cursor at the top.
3. Select 12 YUV COL, and adjust using the ← and →
keys so that the levels of the right bar and left bar be-
come the same.
4. Select 04 SUB HUE, and adjust using the ← and → keys
so that the two bars at the center become flat.-

3-4-4. VIDEO PAL Level Adjustments

1. Input the PAL 100% Color bar signal to the VIDEO in-
put.
BA MATRIX of device adjust of the menu is set.
2. Select 11 YUV COM, and adjust using the ← and →
keys so that the level of the left bar becomes the same as
the level of the cursor at the top.
3. Select 12 YUV COL, and adjust using the ← and →
keys so that the levels of the right bar and left bar be-
come the same.
4. Select 04 SUB HUE, and adjust using the ← and → keys
so that the two bars at the center become flat.
5. Move the cursor to the SAVE TO MEMORY line of de-
vice adjust, and press the ENTER key."

select INPUT-A, and select Y/P
