Customize The Remote Control Buttons - HTC One User Manual

Note: Set up the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) first. See Use the EPG.
Make sure that your phone has an Internet connection.
1. Touch
> > T V.
2. Touch > S tart.
3. Enter a name for your remote control, and then touch Next.
4. Select the devices you want to control with your remote, and then touch Next.
Note: The TV option can't be excluded.
5. Select the brand of your TV, and then touch Next.
6. Make sure your TV is off, and then touch Next.
7. Point your phone towards the TV and touch the blinking button on the screen.
8. Touch Yes if HTC remote was able to turn on your TV, and then follow the onscreen instructions
to continue setting up the other devices.
If the TV didn't turn on, touch No. HTC remote will try another remote control profile.

If HTC remote doesn't find a matching remote control profile, you'll need to manually set up

the remote control.

Are the predefined buttons not to your liking? You can change any button.
Important: The channel enter button should not be changed.

1. Touch

2. Touch
> > B utton setup.
3. Touch Remote buttons > N ext.
4. Touch a button to configure.
Note: Red buttons are buttons that have not been configured.
5. Place your phone head to head with your device's remote control. Your phone and your device's
remote control should be less than 2 in (5 cm) apart.
6. On your device's remote control, touch and hold the button you want to add to HTC remote.
Apps and Entertainment
> > A dd a remote (or Edit/delete).
tab should control the same device.
