Using the OSD (On-Screen Display) Utility

The OSD utility allows you to configure the appearance of the messages that
appear on the screen when you press a function key combination (for example,
Fn+F3). It will be activated and the icon
time Windows starts up.
A graphic display will appear on the screen to indicate the current status of certain
operations.
Operation
OSD Description
Fn+F1
Icon and text appear on the screen to indicate that
wireless network radio is on or off.
Fn+F3
A bar appears on the screen whenever you press
these hotkeys to adjust the volume level.
Fn+F4
Fn+F5
Icon and text appear on the screen to indicate the
current display output.
Fn+F6
A bar appears on the screen to indicate the bright-
ness level.
Fn+F7
AC power connected/dis-
Icon and text appear on the screen to indicate that
connected
the AC power cord has been connected or discon-
nected.

Changing the OSD Color

You can change the colors of the individual OSD elements. Right-click on the
OSD utility icon
on Windows Taskbar and then select C C olor. A dialog will
appear.
To change the color of an element such as text, graphic, and background, click on
the corresponding color square and the a window appears where you can specify
the color.
Windows would retain the settings the next time you restart the system.
