Discs can be inserted/ejected by pressing the small ejection button on the drive. If you want to open the disc tray of the optical drive when your Joybook power is off, or it can't be opened using the ejection button, insert a pointed object into the tray ejection hole next to the ejection button to force open the disc tray.
