Using 9-Pin Machine Control

The DMX-R100 provides two separate 9-pin output ports for remote control of devices that support the Sony
9-pin protocol. To activate 9-pin remote control, simply select either REMOTE OUT 1 or REMOTE OUT 2
from the dropdown Port Select menu in the Machine Control window. The DMX-R100 issues commands via
these ports, including rewind, fast-forward, tape locate, and shuttle. Bear in mind that not all devices support
all 9-pin commands. Refer to the Sony Software Version 2.1 / 2.2 Supplement or to the user manual of the
receiving device for more information.
