The electric motor has been designed for 230V and 240V only. Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Note: The supply of 230V and 240V on Ozito tools are interchangeable for Australia and New Zealand. - Page 5 GENERAL Warning! Read all instructions. ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR HEDGE TRIMMERS • Keep all parts of the body away from the cutter blade. Do not remove cut material or hold material to be cut when blades are moving. Make sure the switch is off when clearing jammed material. A moment of inattention while operating the hedge trimmer may result in serious personal injury. - Page 8 OPERATION (cont.) Blade brake The Hedge Trimmer is fitted with a motor brake which will almost instantaneously stop the cutting blade as soon as either switch is released. When the unit is switched off and the motor brake operates there may be some sparking (or flashing) occurring in the area of the upper motor ventilation slots.
