The electric motor has been designed for 230V and 240V only. Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Note: The supply of 230V and 240V on Ozito tools are interchangeable for Australia and New Zealand. - Page 4 GENERAL 1. Keep work areas clean. Cluttered work areas and benches can cause accidents. 2. Consider work area environment. Do not expose your tool to high humidity or rain. Do not use your tool in damp or wet conditions. Keep the work area well lit. Do not use your tool where there is a risk of causing fire or explosion, e.g.
- Page 5 GENERAL (cont.) 13. Check for damaged parts. Before use carefully check the tool and power lead for damage. Check for misalignment and seizure of moving parts, breakage of parts, damage to guards and switches and any other conditions that may affect its operation.

ASSEMBLY Cord retainer When attaching an extension cord to the Trimmer, hook the end of the extension cord into the cord retainer built into the rear of the Trimmer’s housing. Using the retainer prevents accidental disconnection of the trimmer and extension cords plug and socket. Always be sure to route the cord away from the work area to prevent it from coming near the blade. - Page 7 OPERATION (cont.) 3. Trimming new growth. A wide sweeping motion, feeding the blade teeth through the twigs is most effective. A slight downward tilt of the blade, in the direction of motion gives the best cut. Do not use the Trimmer for cutting stems greater than 10 mm. Use the Trimmer only for cutting normal shrubbery found around houses and buildings.
