To configure product specific configuration options for the Cisco Unified IP Phone 9971 with Cisco Unified Communications
Manager Express, create an ephone template with the necessary options.

The remote recording tone volume can be configured. This is on a 0-100% range,
where 50 is the default setting.
Indicates the length of time in milliseconds for how long the recording tone is
played. This can be from 1 – 3000 milliseconds.
When the phone is in screen save mode this will turn the display on when a call is
ringing.
Determines whether RTCP is enabled or disabled.
A server IP address and port can be specified to where logs can be sent.
G.722 capabilities can be configured on a phone by phone basis and optionally
override the system default.
Gives the ability to users to either enable or disable the wideband headset option
or not.
Wideband headset capabilities can be enabled or disabled.
Determines whether a phone can do peer to peer image firmware file distribution,
where it would retrieve an image file then share it with its peers, which reduces
the TFTP traffic and allows for a faster firmware upgrade.
CDP for the switch port can be enabled or disabled.
CDP for the PC port can be enabled or disabled.
LLDP can be enabled or disabled on the switch port.
LLDP can be enabled or disabled on the PC port.
An asset ID for LLDP can optionally be configured.
The power priority for LLDP can optionally be configured.
802.1x authentication can be enabled, disabled or user controlled.
This field determines the sensitivity that the phone has for detecting a connection
failure to the Cisco Unified Communications Manager in order to failover to a
backup Communications Manager or SRST.
