■ Operation

D Memory scan
All memory channels (except skip channels) in the
selected bank are scanned at up to 40 ch/sec.
q Push [ • BANK▲] or [

• Direct selection is also available as below.
w Set the [SQUELCH] control to the threshold point.
e Push [MEMO] to start the scan.
• "MEMO" appears in the bank name area.
r Push [MEMO] again to stop the scan.
✔ Convenient:
Direct bank selection—Memory scan can be started
in a specific bank without using [BANK▲/▼]
➪ Enter one or two digits for the bank number, then
push [MEMO].
Bank selection during memory scan—The selected
bank can be changed without stopping the scan
➪ Enter one or two digits for the bank number, then
push [ENT].
Bank limit and skip scan release—When starting
memor y scan, the bank limit and channel skip
functions are activated automatically. Refer to p. 26.
D Memory select scan
Memory select scan allows you to increase scan
efficiency by searching for specified channels only,
thereby increasing the rate at which the scan cycles
through the memory channels. Set high priority
channels as 'select' channels (memory select scan
searches for signals on these channels) while leav-
ing out lower priority channels.
Preparation—specifying select channels:
Select the channel you want to specify as a 'select'
channel, then push [SEL] for 1 sec.
Start/stop:
q Select the desired bank using [
[ • BANK▼].
ENT
w Set the squelch control to the threshold point.
e Push [SEL] momentarily to start scan.
• "SEL" appears in the bank name area.
r Push [SEL] again to stop the scan.
NOTE: Memory select scan does not start unless
2 or more channels in the bank are specified as
select channels.
