KVM-0850/1650 IP KVM switch Maintenance 6.6.1 Device Information Figure 6-31. Device Information Board Summary This section contains a summary with various information about this IP-KVM and it’s current firmware and allows you to reset the card. You may have a look at Figure 6-31 for an example.
This section allows you to reset specific parts of the device. Currently this involves the video engine and the KVM-0850/1650 itself. Resetting the card itself is mainly needed to activate a newly updated firmware. It will close all current connections to the administration console and to the Remote Console.
Updating the firmware is a three-stage process: • Firstly, the new firmware file is uploaded onto the KVM-0850/1650. In order to do that you need to select the file on your local system using the button “ Browse ” of the Upload Firmware panel.
Thirdly, after the firmware has been stored, the panel will request you to reset the • KVM-0850/1650 manually. Half a minute after the reset, the KVM-0850/1650 will run with the new firmware version and should be accessible. However, you are requested to login once again.
If forgetting the “ password ” you typed, please contact your supplier. 10. The remote mouse doesn’t work or is not synchronous Make sure the mouse settings in KVM-0850/1650 match the mouse model. There are some circumstances where the mouse synchronization process could behave incorrectly, refer to Section 5.4.3 for further explanation.
KVM-0850/1650). If not, check network hardware. Is KVM-0850/1650 powered on? Check whether the IP address of KVM-0850/1650 and all other IP related settings are correct! Also verify that all the IP infrastructure of your LAN, like routers etc., is correctly configured. Without a ping functioning, KVM-0850/1650 can’t work either.
B. Key Codes Table C.1 shows the key codes used to defines keystrokes or hotkeys for several functions.
