Resetting the receiver

Use this procedure to reset all the receiver's settings to
the factory default.
Note that resetting the DVD receiver will delete your
radio presets and custom settings.

Turn on the DVD receiver.

Using the front panel buttons, hold
down the [Stop] button and press
DVD receiver
[Standby/On] button.
"DVD Clear" appears on the display.
When the reset is complete, and the DVD
receiver enters Standby mode.

DVD-Video regions

All DVD-Video discs carry a region mark on the case
somewhere that indicates which region(s) of the world
the disc is compatible with. Your DVD receiver also has
a region mark, which you can find on the rear panel.
Discs from incompatible regions will not play in this
receiver. Discs marked "ALL" will play in any player.
The diagram below shows the various DVD regions of
the world.

■ DVD-Video Format
DVD-Video discs contain titles, which are usually sub-
divided into chapters.

DVD-Audio discs contain groups and tracks.

DVD-Audio
■ SACD
SACDs have two separate areas for storing audio
tracks—one for multichannel audio, the other for 2-
channel stereo audio. In addition, hybrid SACDs have an
extra layer for playback in standard CD players.
