TIME DATE SEARCH

If "TIME DATE CODE: 1, 2, 3 or 4" is specified in the
SELECTION MENU 1 display and a recording is
made, recording data (date and time) is written on
the tape.
Enter the date and time of the scene you want to
view when playing back a tape recorded in the
TIME DATE SEARCH mode; the VCR searches for
the required scene. When the VCR locates the
scene for which you input the date and time, it
plays back the scene in the still play mode.
WARNING:
If "REWIND, STOP IF ALARM" is
selected, at the end of the tape VCR will rewind and
re-record.

Recording in the TIME DATE SEARCH mode
1. Set the date and time correctly.
2. Insert a cassette into the VCR.
3. Press the REC/PLAY HOURS buttons to select
the tape speed.
4. Press the RECORD button to start recording.
5. Press the stop button to stop recording.
Notes:
• ONE SHOT recording (00 hour) is not possible in
the TIME DATE SEARCH mode.
• If date/time recording is made when combined
with a connection device, such as a multiplexer,
normal playback picture may not appear,
depending on the connection device. In this
case, change "TIME DATE CODE:" to "2, 3 or 4"
(see page 20), and make another recording to
ensure that normal playback picture appears
with the selected option. (If "2 or 4" is selected,
noise may appear across the top of playback pic-
ture). If normal picture still does not appear,
select "OFF".
— One-shot recording (see page 24) is not pos-
sible when "TIME DATE CODE:" is specified
from "1–4".
— If "TIME DATE CODE:" is changed from
"OFF" to "1–4" when the 00 recording mode
(one-shot recording) is selected for ordinary
recording or timer recording, recording will
be made in the 48-hour mode.
— If you do not want time/date recording, spec-
ify "TIME DATE CODE: OFF".
— Time/date recording is not possible unless
the date/time has been set.
