4 Replacement Procedures

Removing the Hinge Cover

Remove the hinge cover according to the following procedures.
1. Use your fingers to unclasp three hinge cap hooks as indicated in Figure 4.9.
2. Turn the laptop upright and open the LCD cover to the maximum angle.
3. Push the hinge cover toward the battery bay with an outward rolling motion until the
hinge cover tabs are released from the system and the hinge cover comes loose as shown
in figure 4.10.
4. Remove the hinge cover from the system.
